Howell provides a wide selection of copper pipe, tubing and fittings marked with all necessary listings and certifications. With natural corrosion resistance and ease of machinability copper has been used for centuries. Copper is lightweight and is an excellent conductor for heat transfer. Both rigid pipe lengths and flexible tubing coils are available from Howell. The strength and hardness of copper pipe and tube is also referred to as “Temper”. Drawn temper is stated as “hard” and annealed as “soft”. These are available in a variety of diameters and wall thicknesses. Copper fittings are available in Wrot, Cast, ACR, and DWV fittings.
Options include cleaned and bagged wrot copper fittings and medical service valves for oxygen service (medical gas). NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Gas and Vacuum Systems and the Compressed Gas Association, Pamphlet G4.1 (medical gas).

Did You Know...
Copper water pipes were discovered in the palace ruins of the Indus River Valley of India, dating all the way back to 4000-3000 B.C. It was also found that in 2500 B.C. the Egyptians used copper water pipes for elaborate bathrooms inside the pyramids
