Connect all your piping requirements with carbon steel nipples from Howell. Standard black and galvanized nipples come in pipe sizes from 1/8” to 8” and lengths from close to 12” long. Howell’s in-house pipe shop can manufacturer special non-standard pipe nipple lengths.

- What is a “Close” or “Short / Shoulder” nipple?
- “Close" is the trade term meaning the shortest nipple length available. It allows for a tight connection between two female threaded connections since there is effectively no unthreaded area.
- “Short / Shoulder” is the trade term for the next nipple in length that is longer then the Close nipple. It will have a small unthreaded space between the two threads.
- Swage Nipples
- A swage nipple is a concentric or eccentric reducer with two different sized end connections.
