Depending on your needs, options available include:
Cast Threaded 150lb Fittings: These fittings are suitable for low-pressure piping systems. They are available in both 304 and 316 grades, which have similar chemical compositions but different levels of molybdenum. 316 grade has higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
Stainless Weld Fittings and Flanges: These fittings are designed for high-pressure and high-temperature piping systems. They are typically dual certified as 304/304L and 316/316L, which means they meet the requirements of both grades.
Forged Threaded and Socketweld Fittings: These fittings are forged from solid bars of stainless steel and have a higher strength and durability than cast fittings. They are available in Class 3000lb and Class 6000lb pressure ratings, and in various stainless steel grades.
Grades such as 304, 316, 309, 310, 317L, 321, 330, 347, 410, 420, 904L, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, 254 SMO, AL6XN. Each grade has different properties and applications, such as high-temperature resistance, high corrosion resistance, high strength, etc.
Heavy Pattern and Light Pattern Fittings: These fittings have different wall thicknesses, dimensions, and pressure ratings. Heavy pattern fittings comply with MSS SP-114 specification and are suitable for industrial process, chemical plants, petroleum, food & beverage, sanitary, steam systems, and general industrial processes. Light pattern fittings are suitable for residential or non-critical water systems. Both patterns are available in 304 and 316 grades, but only Heavy Pattern Fittings are CRN registered.
